| The first clue that Hashinger is different may be some chalk art on the sidewalk, or
a piece of sculpture out front. But approaching the front steps and overhang which form the
basis for the graphic on the 1976-era "Hashinger Hillton" t-shirt, one can't miss the large
hh logo, with the words Residence Center
for the Creative Arts underneath it. (The logo was designed by a resident in the late 1970's
or eary 1980's - Marcel Gober, if I remember right). If you look closely, you will see a
brick windbreak behind the bench on the north side of the entryway. I don't remember this being
present in the late 1970's - it was probably added later.
